EDUCATION ACCESS CONTROL
Schools, colleges and universities need to balance security controlled access with the movement of students, staff and visitors throughout the day.

Education sites often have different access requirements across classrooms, offices, accommodation and external entrances, with security also important throughout the site, particularly where students, staff and visitors move between public, shared and restricted areas during the day.
SUPPORTING SECURITY ACROSS EDUCATION SITES
Schools, colleges and universities can have a wide mix of access requirements within the same site. Staff entrances, reception areas, classrooms, offices, laboratories, accommodation and external doors may all require different levels of control. To meet these needs, we provide access control, door entry, locking and emergency exit equipment to support secure and practical solutions.
Managing Access Across Busy Sites
Education buildings experience high levels of daily movement, with staff, students, visitors and contractors using the site at different times. Access control can be used to manage specific areas without restricting movement throughout the whole building. We supply readers, keypads, controllers and electronic locking products that can be selected according to the type of access required.
Entrances, Reception And Visitor Access
The main entrance is often the first point of controlled access on an education site. Farfisa audio and video door entry systems can provide communication between the entrance and internal users, while access control can be used where authorised users require direct entry. For larger or more demanding entrances, our bespoke panel options allow the equipment to be specified around the project rather than relying solely on standard panel configurations.
Staff And Restricted Rooms
Access requirements can vary considerably between classrooms, offices, storage areas, laboratories and other restricted spaces. PAC access control provides options for managing authorised users across multiple doors, while our range of electronic locking and exit devices can be matched to different door applications. We can help engineers and installers identify suitable combinations rather than treating every door in the building in the same way.
Emergency Exit And Door Release
Education sites also need to consider how controlled doors operate during an emergency. We supply emergency door systems, exit devices and associated equipment, including solutions tested to EN13637. Depending on the application, systems can incorporate delayed exit, access control and fire alarm integration.
Equipment Ready For Installation
Where project information is available, we can prepare selected equipment through our Value Added Service, including programming, configuration and testing before dispatch. This can reduce time spent preparing equipment on site and help installers move from equipment delivery to installation more efficiently. Our team remains available for product and technical support throughout the project.
